Biatain® Silicone Dressing 10×10 cm Offers a powerful combination of absorption, efficiency, and patient comfort, making it an excellent choice for managing wounds with moderate to high exudate, while reducing the frequency of dressing changes and the risk of irritation or pain.

Key Features:

  • Superior Absorption: Three-dimensional foam absorbs fluids vertically and retains them within the structure, preventing leakage and infection while maintaining an optimal moist environment for healing.
  • Gentle and Secure Adhesion: Silicone adhesive ensures gentle fixation with easy removal without pain or discomfort.
  • Comfort and Flexibility: Flexible design adapts to body contours, with a soft foam cushion providing additional comfort even under pressure.
  • Non-touch Application: A 3-part opening system allows sterile application without touching the adhesive surface or wound.
  • Dressing Change Reduction: Reduces the need for replacement by up to 50% compared to other types.

Indications for Use:

Acute and chronic wounds with moderate to heavy exudate, such as:

  • Leg ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Non-infected diabetic foot ulcers
  • Surgical or traumatic wounds
  • Wounds resulting from burns, superficial wounds, and post skin graft donor sites
  • Suitable for use under compression dressings

Duration and Instructions for Use:

  • Duration of Use: Dressing can be left in place for up to 7 days depending on exudate amount, or replaced if saturated or contaminated.
  • Application Method: Cleanse and dry the wound, then apply the dressing directly and secure as needed.

Warnings and Precautions:

  • Not to be used with oxidizing disinfectants (such as hydrogen peroxide or sodium hypochlorite).
  • If known sensitivity to foam or silicone components exists, consult a physician.
  • Wound should be regularly assessed by a healthcare professional.
